Ampersand Wall Decor

Hope everyone had a great weekend! My husband and I did some fun projects and started a new one also (stay tuned!!). Today I'm going to show you possibly the easiest and cheapest project yet! All you need is an object for the middle, some scrap wood that is all the same size for a frame, and a hammer and some nails!

My love for ampersands runs deep lol, probably because its different and not the norm! My plan is to eventually make a gallery wall of framed ampersands here (down our hallway wall)- so if anyone finds an ampersand I would love to know what store you saw it at! I already have the one shown currently, from michaels!

First thing I did my husband did, was take orders from me saying how big I wanted the frame! My husband had this piece laying around in the garage, but i'm pretty sure it was in the camper originally- I love the finish of it! Then he cut the pieces of wood at 45 degree angles and nailed them together with his air nailer, you could definitely use a hammer and nails as well or even wood glue!

Then just add a wall hanger to the back and hang the two pieces up!

Big thank you to my husband  for putting up with and going along with all my crazy ideas!! Have a great Monday <3

  3. I'm definitely on the ampersand band wagon right now. It's such a cute piece to add to your home. I just bought a wooden one and I need to figure out a way to use it. After I paint it I should find a frame like this to hang with it. Thanks for sharing this idea with Hump Day Happenings!
