Our Front Porch

I have been adding some updates to our front porch lately and thought I would share it with you guys! It by no means is finished (like the rest of our house) haha but there's definitely improvements going on!
But first I want to show you guys a quick makeover my hubby and I did a couple days ago! Our doormat was lookin rough! I won a free cutting edge stencil from Paper Daisy Design a month or two ago and have been trying to figure out what I wanted to first use on it! I thought this would be the perfect "test" item! Here is the before, warning it is not pretty at all!
Told you! It was not a pretty sight!
Here is the after!
All we did was tape down the stencil on the rug and take a roller full of paint over it! (pretty much just followed the instructions that came with the stencil) Then we took some paint brushes and touched edges up and that was it! Super easy and inexpensive!
Here are some more pictures of our porch, I need to make some plant stands for the crocks and finish the storm door (paint over the brass)! I will keep you all updated! But for now here are some current pictures!
Here is a source list for our porch:
I will update more later! I hope you all have a great Wednesday night!
And to those that follow me on Instagram, what do you think of the door color?! Some days I love it and some days I hate it! I will be doing a post tomorrow about the makeover we did on that!

  4. I love your rug and the flowers! I am still trying to find the perfect piece for our front porch. No luck yet, but I'm being patient. I'm hoping for some sort of huge flower pot or lantern that can sustain the rain. Thanks for sharing!

  5. Aww, this is so cute! I'm moving later this year and one of the areas I'm most excited about decorating is my front entryway. I really like the color you chose for the door and the cute pattern on the rug! Everything looks so bright and cheery. Thanks for sharing your post with The Wednesday Showcase last week.
